Arundel High School: Event Photography, Baltimore-Annapolis, MD

The venue was the tiny auditorium at Arundel High School and as with all concert lighting, I got to play around with some creative camera settings....

I was really excited to have the opportunity to photograph the chorus at Arundel High School. The concert was headlined by American Idol (Season 7) contestant Shaun Barrowes who is traveling throughout the nation to assist high school music and art programs to raise funds. He is incredibly down-to-earth, charismatic and unbelievably talented. I'm not an American Idol fan and probably won't ever watch the show, but am now a huge Shaun Barrowes fan. 

There was a phenomenal culmination of talent at the event - dancers, a drum line, and of course the chorus. The chorus was directed by Mikale Clark. She is young and has tons and of energy and is beyond dedicated to her craft. Ms. Clark has simply done a fantastic job with the students. I've known Jean since elementary school so not only was I excited that she was going to let me shoot her engagement pictures, I was excited to see her again! Her and her fiance Bobby are every bit as cute as they look in pictures. Congratulations again guys!!  

Bobby is a huge boxing fan, so Jean thought the gloves would be fun!

Mikala & Tom: Engagement Photography, Baltimore, MD

Ok, so I was pretty sure that this shoot was going to be rough...because of the Baltimore Running Festival, I was running late and the wind was crazy! But Tom and Mikala were so understanding, so sweet and so fun. Fells Point proved to be an amazing backdrop! Not to mention they took fabulous photos - they are crazy about each other and you can totally feel the love. I cannot wait to shoot their wedding :)

Jen gave me the first opportunity to snap some pictures of her very perfect pregnancy belly. I also had the change to snap a few pictures of her other little one Kacey (who just turned 3, Happy Birthday!). Jen looks amazing for being due any day!

Well Happiest Birthday to one of the cutest 3 year-olds I know. I love the opportunity to flex my photo-journalism skills and have cake at the same time :).   Below Hannah gives me tour of her sweet 'outdoor kitchen'. Love it!

Ashley & Chris: Maryland Wedding and Bridal Photography

Congratulations to Ashley and Chris! This intimate ceremony was held in Hurlock, Maryland (in someone's backyard!). The day was perfect - awesome weather, really cool places to get photos, and an absolutely fun and young couple who are so much in love with each other. I loved the bride's dress, hairpiece and shoes (red!) - not to mention she was gorgeous! The red, white and blue theme was a sweet (and very patriotic) way to top off this amazing event.
